That person wants a driver's license , you must apply within a stipulated form. To get a license, the applicant is required to pass a computer as well as a driving test.

Address School Proofing Certificate , Passport , LIC Policy , Electoral Voter I-Card , Light Bill , Telephone Bill , House Tax Receipt with Address , Central / State Pay Slip / Affidavit from Local Self Government or Applicant. Asthe proof can be submitted for the address .
New driving license
Application letter
- To obtain a new driving license, the applicant is required to obtain a learning license.
- Applicant Form number with the aim of learning as well as a driver's license 2/4 must apply , form number 1 ( medical certificate in A) must also be attached. If a person wants to get a driving license for a transport goods vehicle , and wants to get an appointment online or for more information , please visit: www.parivahan.gov.in
- A person must complete 16 years to obtain a license for 2 wheeled vehicles with no gear .
- A person must have completed 18 years of age to obtain a license for 2 wheelers along with gear , motor-cars , tractors and other non-transport vehicles .
- For transport vehicles , a person must have completed 20 years of age. In addition to 8 must pass the class and it's running light motor vehicle 1 must be experienced year.
- Required documents
- Age school leaving certificate , birth certificate , passport , PAN card , LIC policy or a certificate from civil surgeon or its equivalent as a doctor who can be presented as proof of age.
- To obtain a learning license , it is necessary to pass a knowledge test via computer.
- Rules and rules of traffic , and traffic signs such as tests are included.
- 15 questions are asked at random in the test , out of which 11 questions need to be answered correctly to pass the test.
- 48 seconds are allowed to answer each question .
- A person failing the test may appear for re-testing after a 24- hour interval.
- A person who has a learning license or driver's license and who wishes to apply for a driving license of additional categories in the current driver's license , it went exempted from the knowledge test on the computer.
- Driving test is mandatory to obtain a permanent driving license
- Anyone can appear for a driving test after an interval of 30 days after obtaining a learning license .
- The driving test is conducted on the same type of vehicle for which an application for obtaining a driving license has been made.
- The learning license is valid for a period of 6 months only , therefore , the applicant is required to appear for the driving test within the validity period.

- Guidelines to apply for New Learner License. PARIVAHAN SEWA Home Page Click on the SARATHI in the Home Page (located on right side) for Driving License Service Click Apply Online
- Click New Learner's License
- Click on Continue button
- If candidate is applying for fresh Learner License then select the first choice “I don't have any license” then click Submit button.
- New blank Application form screen will be open. Please fill all the necessary information, * marked block is mandatory to fill.
- Above form shows how to fill the information. After filling the form click on Submit button.
- After successful submission Application Number will be generated and SMS will be sent to the entered mobile number. Candidate can take a print of the generated acknowledgment. Click on Next button for documents, photo and signature upload.
- Select the UPLOAD DOCUMENTS option and click Next button
- Select the Suitable Documents and Proofs for respective documents. Select the option Document and upload the document and click on Conform button to document upload conformation and click on Next button. Repeat the document upload procedure to upload all necessary documents. After successful uploading of all necessary documents click on Next button to Photo and Signature.
- Click on Browse button to select photograph of the candidate and Signature of the candidate. *** Please read the Photograph and Signature file specification before uploading the Photograph and Signature. Click on Upload and View Files After successful upload of Photograph and Signature click on Save Photo & Signature Image Files. "Inserted successfully" message will be displayed on successful upload. Then click Next button to Fee Payment.
- Select the Fee Payment option and click Next for fee payment
- Instructions will be displayed for online payment for the LL / DL applications then click "Click here to Continue ePayment"

In Payment Options select the Bank / Gateway / Treasury and enter the Text as shown above. Every time new random text will be generated. Click on Pay Now button Terms and Conditions will be displayed for online payment and click on Proceed for Payment Please fallow the instructions given by the system. Application Form
- An applicant is required to obtain a learning license in order to get new driving license.
- An applicant is required to apply in Form No.2/4 for the purpose of both learning as well as driving license, Medical Certificate in Form No.1 (A) is also required to be attached. - A person should have completed 16 years to obtain license for 2 wheelers without gear.
- A person should have completed 18 years age to obtain license for 2 wheelers with gear, Motor-car, Tractor and other non-transport vehicles.
- For transport vehicles, a person should have completed 20 years of age. In addition he should be passed standard 8th pass and should have experience of 1 year driving a light motor vehicle.
- Necessary Documents
- School Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport, Pan Card, L.I.C. Policy or a Certificate from Civil Surgeon or a Doctor equivalent to that can be submitted as a proof of age.
- Proof of Address
- School Leaving Certificate, Passport, L.I.C. Policy, Electoral Voter I-Card, Light Bill, Telephone Bill, receipt of House Tax with address, Pay Slip of Central/State/Local self Government or an Affidavit from the applicant to that effect can be submitted asthe proof for address.
- Fee
- The fee for Learning License and Driving License has to be paid together.Rs.25/-as test fee plus Rs.30/- per category of vehicle is required to be paid for Learning License.
- Rs.200/- for a Smart Card Driving License and Rs.50/- per category of vehicle is required to be paid for Driving License.
- To obtain Learning License, Knowledge Test through computer is required to be passed.
- Subject like Rules and Regulations of traffic, and traffic signage’s are included the test.
