Purpose of the scheme

Housing is to be provided in a phased manner as a time-bound program to the economically weaker sections of the Scheduled Castes and especially to the homeless living below the poverty line. Assistance is paid in three installments of ₹.1,20,000 to persons having an open plot, completely raw mud, thatched, kuba type house which is uninhabitable and to construct a house above the first floor with the consent of the owner of the house. o First installment – ​​₹.40,000 (with administrative approval order), o Second installment – ​​₹.60,000 (after reaching lintel level) and o Third installment – ​​₹.20,000 (on completion of construction including toilets) Are given

Ambedkar Awas Yojana benefite

Ambedkar Awas Yojana is benefited by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 1,20,000/- is given in three installments for building construction above the first floor. In the first installment, the beneficiary is provided an assistance amount of Rs. 40,000/-. The benefit of Rs. 60,000/- is received in the second installment. Rs. 20,000/- becomes available as the third installment.

Apart from Ambedkar Awas Yojana assistance, the beneficiary can also avail the benefit of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA (MGNREGA).

The beneficiary can get 90 days of unskilled employment for housing construction under MGNREGA. In which a total assistance of Rs. 17910/- can be obtained from the Taluka Panchayat NREGA branch.

Ambedkar Awas Yojana beneficiaries can get a total assistance of Rs. 12,000/- for toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission Scheme.

Citizens in rural areas can avail the benefit of toilet scheme from Taluka Panchayat and in urban areas from Municipality/Metropolitan Municipality.

Terms and conditions

  • Should not have been availed by the beneficiary or other family members of the beneficiary under any other housing scheme implemented by the Govt.
  • Annual income should not exceed ₹.600,000 in rural area and ₹.600,000 in urban area.
  • The amount of building assistance will be ₹.1,20,000. In addition, those who are eligible for assistance of ₹.12,000 for toilets will be eligible separately as per the rules of the scheme. But, if the beneficiary is not eligible for toilet assistance then he/she will have to construct the toilet out of the mandatory assistance of ₹.1,20,000.
  • On the building constructed under this scheme, the beneficiary has to put up a plaque as per “State Government's Ambedkar Awas Yojana”.
  • The upper limit for building construction will be ₹.10,00,000 for urban areas and ₹.7,00,000 for rural areas. The above ceiling limit will not apply to the assistance provided under Affordable Housing Scheme in urban areas
  • The construction of the house has to be completed within 2 years from the payment of the first installment of the building assistance.
  • The age of the beneficiary will be at least 21 years.

  • First of all open Google search and type E Samaj Kalyan Portal.
  • Now open the official website of e Samaj Kalyan portal.
  • In which you have to click on the “Director Scheduled Caste Welfare” page.
  • In page number-5, you have to click on Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana.
  • If you have not done e samaj kalyan registration then click on “New User? Please Register Here”.
  • In which you have to create a new account by entering name, address, mobile number, password and captcha code.
  • After creating a new account, you have to click on Citizen Login. You have to log in on the basis of user id, password and captcha code.
  • In Citizen Login, you have to click on Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana.
  • Then you have to fill in your personal information in it.
  • After that, you have to fill in the information whether the house is vacant or not habitable.
  • After filling all the information sitting at home, the required documents have to be uploaded.
  • After uploading all the documents, check the information carefully once and click on save.
  • After final confirmation, the print should be taken.
  • All the documents have to be attached with the application along with the print application and submitted to the district office.
