Gujarat board schools to get 21-day Diwali break

Ahmedabad: School students will get a 21-day vacation for Diwali this year.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board issued a circular stating that the Diwali vacation would begin on October 20. Schools in the state will reopen on November 10.

The GSHSEB had earlier declared the academic calendar and announced that Diwali vacation for classes 9 to 12 will be held from October 20 to November 9. The GSHSEB finally notified the vacation for other classes on Tuesday.

The officials have asked the schools to inform the teachers and students so that they can plan their Diwali vacations.

date as suggested. So that the children of both primary/ secondary seminaries can have the same holiday

date. The District Education Officers have to report this letter to the Government, Granted and Independent tutoring tabernacles, Child tutoring tabernacles, Experimental seminaries, and all the seminaries under your control.

There will be no reduction in the syllabus of classes 9 to 12. The syllabus for the first examination of class 9 to 12 will be from June to September. There will be complete syllabus for the prelims exam of class 10 and 12. The syllabus for the third examination of classes 9 and 11 will be from June to January. In there will be 30% of the syllabus from June to September and 70% of the syllabus from October to January. There will be the complete syllabus for Class 10th and 12th Board Examination as well as the Annual Examination of Class 9th and 11th. For all the above examinations, the examination pattern in effect from the academic year 2019-20 will remain unchanged. There will be no change in the examination pattern.
