Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel addressed a press conference at Gandhinagar and made an important announcement regarding the farmers of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that the farmers of the state had demanded water for the winter crop and a special meeting was held by the state government and Narmada Corporation officials to ensure abundant production of sun crop in the state this year. Then farmers will be given water for irrigation for sun crops.

Dy.CM Nitin Patel further said that an average of 15 thousand cusecs of water is being pumped into the canals of the state every day by the Narmada Corporation. The biggest beneficiaries are the farmers of the state. Kutch will release 10800 cusecs of water this year as against 900 cusecs last year.

Statement regarding curfew in the state : 

Regarding the curfew in Gujarat, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that there was no discussion on this in the state government meeting. Currently, there is no consideration of weekend curfew in metros or Ahmedabad. Currently only night curfew will remain in place.

He also said that it is not right to spread false messages or rumors on social media as millions of citizens are getting their livelihood as per the need so the government will take the right decision after looking at all the conditions.
