How to Apply for Free Solar Rooftop Yojana or PM Surya Ghar Yojana?
You can apply for this scheme only through online mode Follow the below given procedure for online application-
- First of all visit the official website of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
- CLICK on Apply for Rooftop Solar in the Quick Links section on the home page of the website.
- As soon as you CLICK, a new page will appear in front of you, where CLICK on RegisterHere.
- After this a form of registration for login will open. Enter the details of your state, district etc. and click on Next.
- After this, fill all the required information and click on submit
- Now you have to login to the website with your registered mobile number and apply for the scheme.
- After applying, the solar panel will have to be installed from the vendor in your area after getting approval from the discom.
- Once the solar plant is installed then you have to apply for net meter by entering the details of the plant.
- The net meter will be installed and commissioning certificate will be issued after all checks are done by the discounters.
- Now you have to go to the website and enter the bank account details and submit a canceled cheque.
- After this, the subsidy amount will be credited to your account within 30 days.

- If a 3 KW plant costs 1.45 lakh rupees, then 78000 rupees of that subsidy will be given by the government, and for the remaining 67000 rupees you can take a cheap loan from the bank. Which will also be arranged by the government.
