It has been decided to postpone the non-secretariat clerk examination to be held on February 13 across the state. The Secondary Service Selection Board has decided to postpone the examination for the time being. Importantly, the exam was held after 3 years. It may be mentioned that it has been decided to close the examination due to administrative reasons.
More than 10 lakh students were to appear for the exam for 3901 seats. The examination was likely to be postponed following the resignation of Asit Vora, former chairman of the Secondary Service Selection Board. After the resignation of the chairman, the exam has been postponed once again as he is not ready to take any responsibility on the issue. This exam has been postponed twice before. Earlier, the examination was postponed on the issue of not sitting for Std. 12 examination. Candidates are angry over the postponement of exams due to the second paper burst and the resignation of the chairman for the third time.
The exam was canceled due to paper leak
Out of 2.43 lakh candidates appearing for the head clerk's examination, 88,000 had appeared for the examination, but after the examination was held, student leader Yuvraj Singh Jadeja declared the paper leaked along with the evidence. But after examining the evidence, Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, who found the paper leaked, announced the cancellation of the exam. The Sabarkantha police had also registered a case and launched an investigation. In which it was revealed that an employee of a printing press in Ahmedabad had leaked the paper. Police arrested the accused.
Recruitment was announced in 2018
The Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board issued an advertisement in 2018 for clerk class-3 for various government department offices as well as for collector offices under revenue department and for office assistant class-3 for secretariat department. The date has now been announced due to Corona after the 2018 recruitment was canceled.
