This was discussed at a gathering of the Education Federation held today.
According to the discussion during this meeting, considering the present situation, schools won't be open in Gujarat till Diwali. Corona’s condition are going to be reviewed after Diwali then the govt will make a choice . There was speculation among schools in Corona that schools would start in October. But this decision has been taken keeping in sight the way the cases are increasing day by day. Even after Diwali, school won't start.

the state from March 16 Earlier, at the time of Corona’s entry into Gujarat, i.e. on March 15, the government had decided to shut all schools, colleges and academic institutions in Gujarat for 2 weeks from March 16 to March 29. However the board examinations were kept unchanged. the varsity vacation was then extended as Corona became uncontrollable. Thus schools are closed for about 6 months.

So the state education department is also planning to reduce the curriculum in that situation. The curriculum will be reduced based on how many days of study students get, the sources said.
