The Agriculture Minister said that oilseed crops have been planted in 7 lakh hectares more than last year. The state planted a total of 39.80 lakh hectares last year, up from 48 lakh hectares this year. Peanut cultivation has increased this year instead of cotton. New schemes have been launched by the Department of Agriculture this year.
