Report the police immediately if the card is lost. Confirm that your old card has been blocked after the new card has been issued so that no one can misuse your debit card. Some private banks have started issuing debit cards that do not require a debit card PIN to withdraw money. Money can be withdrawn simply by swiping the card. But a limit has been fixed for this facility. Only Rs 20,000 or Rs 50,000 can be withdrawn at a time.

  • You can now Block your SBI ATM cum Debit Card through OnlineSBI, in case your card is lost or stolen.
Follow these simple steps to immediately block your card:

Step 1: Login to www.onlinesbi.com with your username and password.

Step 2: Select "ATM Card Services>Block ATM Card" link under the "e-Services" tab.

Step 3: Select the Account, under which you want to block your ATM cum Debit Card.

Step 4: All the Active and blocked cards will be displayed. You will be shown the first 4 and last 4 digits of the card(s).

Step 5: Select the Card, you wish to block and click "Submit". Verify the details and confirm.

Step 6: Select the mode of authentication as either SMS OTP or Profile Password.

Step 7: On the next screen, enter the OTP password /Profile password as chosen earlier and Click "Confirm".

Step 8: A success message would be displayed with a Ticket No. after successful blocking of your ATM cum Debit Card. Note this Ticket No. for future reference.

Step 4: A new page will appear, click on 'Debit card Hotlisting'.

Step 5: On the next page, you have to select the debit account linked with the ATM card that he/she wants to block.

Step 6: After that, you will be required to select the debit card which he/she wants to block.

Step 7: A new pop up will appear, here you have to select any one reason from 'Lost' and 'Stolen' option.

Step 8: There is a remark option (If you wish to put any remark. You can write on the given space.)

Step 9: Click on 'Confirm' option.

Step 10: After that, you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered mobile number. The OTP will be auto-detected or you can even enter it if you are using another number for blocking.

Step 11: Click on the 'Submit' option.

Step 12: A new pop up will appear that your card is successful. Click on 'Ok'.

Now you will receive a message that your SBI ATM card has been blocked. Save this message for future references.

How to block SBI ATM/Debit Card by SMS

You can even block your SBI ATM/Debit Card offline. But for that, you need your registered mobile number and the last 4 digits of your SBI ATM/Debit Card.
